shanghai hotel

I have the opportunity to stay in the Westin or Le Royal Meredien in Shanghai. One is rated higher, wondering if one has a better location> I think location is important. Thanks

Le Royal Meridien is on Nanjing Lu, the pedestrian street. The Westin is closer to The Bund with a great restaurant in the basement. To me, the Meridien location is better but you won't go wrong with either. (I stayed at the Meridien last spring.)

I'll say both are in excellent locations.

I walked past both of them today and agree with EK and rrkwan so I guess you'll have to go with the rating or the rate you get.

Thank you all for your opinions. I booked the Le meredien.
