Sept-Oct weather in Thailand/Cambodia?
Hello,
I have 4+ weeks time available to travel this Sept-Oct, and have always wanted to visit Thailand and Cambodia. Unfortunately, it seems that this is considered the "wet season" in those areas, with rainfall amounts that might seriously impede enjoyable travel. I'm most interested in visiting Angkor Wat, Chiang Mai, and finally settling on a beach somewhere in Southern Thailand. Does anyone have experience with the rainfall in these areas at this time of year? How seriously could this affect enjoying sight-seeing and other activities? Thanks for your time. |

For the beach, I think you can stay relatively dry on the Gulf side at Ko Samui of Hua Hin. relatively.

hua hin usually comes out best at that time of year....do it in october....the later you go the better off you will be....sept. is hard to predict but october can be quite nice...

mad - I was in Cambodia in October 7 years ago and it was very humid, usually cloudy, and we had one torrential rainstorm -- but it was brief. Hope that helps.
