re: Lins where they have great contemporary looking designs and copies of Tiffanys, etc.

Does anyone have the address of Lins or Lim Silver stores?

How is the quality of copies of Tiffany jewellery?

SJ International had some nice green stones and also nice silver stuff with semi precious stones. My daughters got a bunch of silver rings with stones in the $5 to $30 range, and that included sizing. Also some fabulous silver cuff bracelets for $22 dollars.

My husband tried using Bob and Karen's names, but prices at Thai Stone were still way higher than SJ. Either they didn't like the looks of my DH or they don't offer discounts till you've bought a few things?

Who Knows ...I do know that all this talk about cheap jewelry makes me want to go back to BKK and do some more shopping!!

HappyTraveling, one branch of Lims is very near the Oriental, right on the road leading to the hotel entrance actually. Do not know exact add. Saw loads of folks buying copies of the Tiffanys baby charm bracelet. Looked pretty authentic to me.

thai stone jewerly is not a place where you bargain....i'm sorry if anyone got the wrong impression...they offer a fair price the first time and you can reduce it by buying a lesser item, i.e. going from 18K to 14K or a lesser stone...that is our experience...its not a bargaining type place like some others..

lim silver....there are two or three shops in the same neighborhood...it is oriental lane, just behind the oriental hotel....you come off the river boat and walk directly onto oriental lane...the main two shops that i use are almost side by side in the small strip mall about 1/2 way down the street on the left when you are coming from the water...another is around the corner...
make sure you also visit the interesting
Thai Home Store in the old looking building just back from lim towards the hotel...great robes made of cotton, pj's and bronze ware and god only knows what else is in there...its an old fashioned thai shop...
