SEIYO GINZA? IMPERIAL? OR CAPITOL TOKYU?
 

Regarding location and quality which one would you choose?

I can't give you comment on the quality, but all three look very good and service in Japan is generally super!
But as for location, I prefer the Shinjuku area compared to Tokyo and Ginza. Tokyo really only has the imperial palace and Ginza is nice with alot of up market shops. But Prada, LV etc are the same everywhere. If you like more green and space, head to the one in Tokyo. If you like up market shopping and movie star spotting (if you know any Japanese stars) head for Ginza. Choose the one closest to a major train/subway station for easier travel to other areas in Tokyo city.
I prefer to see the funky side of Japan so Shinjuku is most central to places like Harajuku and Shibuya - more lively in general.

I stayed at the Capitol Tokyu last October and thought it was great. This was my third visit to Tokyo and I've stayed at different hotels each time including the Park Hyatt and the Imperial. I found the Capitol Tokyu to offer just as many amenities and comfort and liked the location best...there are 4 subway lines that converge in front of the hotel, so all of the city is easily accessable. I also got an excellent rate of about $240 USD a night including all taxes from my travel agent in New York. If you'd like his details to see if the same rate is possible for you just let me know. Nancy, I would love to know where you got your good rate. Regarding the location...in the immediate area of the hotel are there restaurants, shops, places to walk to?

Hi June, No problem! Yes, the neighborhood offers a good selection of restaurants and shops and very close by is the fantastic Roppongi Hills complex with a vast array of great international restaurants and top shopping options. Also within walking distance was the Imperial Palace and the interesting Hie Shrine. What I liked most about the hotel was it's good balance of traditional Japanese atmosphere and elegance but at the same time with a very warm welcome for and understanding of Westerners.
