What I meant is that maybe you can connect by wire...I used my own laptop during the summer, and found that the wireless connections most places were lousy...even in the Peninsula BKK...so connected by wire. If they have computers, they have a connection, and you can likely just connect your computer.

It's good to know that wireless isn't always fast. You have a mac, correct? (I think your blog address was a .mac account...) Did you have any issues with internet connectivity? I only did once-- in our Munich hotel this past Christmas, their wireless didn't work with macs. It was weird and apparently only something that occurs in Europe...

I have a MacBook. Wired internet at the Victoria was slow but OK most of the time. Wireless supposedly available in lobby area, but not for me...
Peninsula BKK...wireless was a joke, but wired was fine.
Anantara GT...wired access, down frequently.
JW Marriott Phuket...wireless in lobby area, ok. Wired in room, great.
