Seafood in Kowloon?

Can anyone recommend a good place for seafood at Kowloon? I read from a brochure that Lei Yue Mun, Kwun Tong Kowloon is such a place. Has anyone any comments on the place? Thanks!

Lei Yue Mun is good for seafood. But the price is at the high end.
If you have time, let's try Lamma Island Rainbow Seafood Restaurant.

Ricy, thanks for your suggestion. I will certainly try that if I can spare the time for a trip to Lamma Island!
Ching,

Lamma does have a row of good seafood restaurants which the Chinese all flock to........a good sign. When I lived in HK back in '94 I worked in a couple of western restaurants and all our fish came from Australia. Hong Kong has no sewage system, it all goes into the harbor and the Chinese fish right off of the pier. You will probably not have any problems but the local attitude to what's okay to eat is vastly different to westerners. I lived on Peng Chau island and the old ladies would sit at the end of the pier with live fish in a wicker basket on the end of a rope. When somebody came by to buy fish they would haul it up and get the fish. This fish had been swallowing harbor water all day remember.

Good luck

Nick O'Neill
Travel Nutter
http://www.BootsnAll.com
The Ultimate Resource for the Independent Traveller
Haven't been there for 10 years but found the Spring deer Restaurant on Kowloon to be very Chinese and good food-not sure about seafood - we had Peking Duck. Wonderful caramelized bananas for dessert
