Saigon Airport Transport Options

Any suggestions for transportation options from Ho Chi Minh airport to the local hotel aside from taxis?

We will be arriving like at very late around midnight so do not want to deal with the hassle of taxi lines and bartering for fares etc. Thanks in advance.

Names of vendors and approximate prices would be greatly appreciated.

Either you arrange for transport from the hotel, or you get a taxi from the queue. The queue is hassle free and prices to the hotels are fixed, so there's no negotiation. I always use the queue.

Hey it the "queue" the same thing as the mob of taxi drivers trying to sell you a ride?
Wondering what to look for in the queue? Thanks--we fly in late too and will need a ride to the hotel too.

As you walk out the door, there's a counter with a big sign on it that says "Taxi" - that's the queue. Go to the counter, tell them where you're going and get in the car.

You can also walk outside and turn to your left. About 50 meters outside on the curb is the taxi stand. You'll need to make sure you get in a proper taxi as sometimes they'll try and cheat a new visitor. Mai Linh (white/green) is a good taxi company, as is Saigon Tourist (white/red). Meter fare to downtown D1 shouldn't be any more than 80,000VND (plus the 5000VND exit toll).
