Safety for Young Lady in Seoul, South Korea

I haven't read anything negative about South Korea. Which I think is great!
But, I wanted to check with the Fodorites and see if there is any cautionary advice for a young lady traveling alone.

IMO if you take the same precaution as you would in other big cities then you should be fine.

Not sure if the OP has already gone, but I studied for the summer in Seoul while I was in college and never felt unsafe, uneasy once. The only thing was that being white and redheaded, I was constantly gaped at, but that was more annoying than anything else. It's a big city, just like any other.

Enjoy, it's a terrific country.
