Ryokan in Kyoto- URGENT HELP- need to reserve!
Which ryokan should i stay at in Kyoto? Seikoro, Hiiragiya, or Kinmata?
I'm having trouble deciding! Also, anyone know how to even check availability at Kinmata? Their website is only in Japanese! |
Hiiragiya is an extraordinary and very luxurious ryokan which has a lovely central location and, more importantly, a staff that is easily able to handle requests from non-Japanese speaking visitors. Although pricey -- it is thought by some to be the most elegant ryokan in all of Japan -- its serenity and attentive service, and full range of accomodations, make this a superb choice. You should note that if you prefer, they'll serve you a western style breakfast; in addition, their web site has an English language version. Enjoy.

Kinmata reservation page http://www.kinmata.com/reserve/reserve_form.html will show you availability but you have to put in the dates. If you are up for the challenge you could try their form...use a webpage translator for help. Easier might be for you might be to e-mail them.

Thanks for advice. I'm wondering how the three compare to each other though.
I tried the Kinmata website, but understand how to determine availability. Cant see their email address either- that was problem! |
e-mail from the reservation page [email protected]
What days do you want to stay? I can just plug them into the form if you like. |
