Running in Bangkok

Any suggestions for an avid runner/first time traveler to Bangkok, as to where to run? They'll be staying on the River.
Thanks!

Best place: on a treadmill in the hotel gym.

Bangkok does not strike me as the best place to run. The traffic is bad and the heat and humidity are high. There are a few parks, like Lumpini, but those are a bit crowded for running.

In BKK you are probably better off doing laps in the pool.

I always run on the treadmill. However, there are lots of people jogging in Lumphini Park. Make sure you go early, it gets very hot.

Queen Sirikit park has a nice paved path around the lake. It's located off of Rathchadphisek, just below Sukhumvit Road.
