River Marketplace in Bangkok

What's the best way to get to the market on the river in thailand?

The market on the river being what? If you mean the River City shopping complex, it is not a market per se but more of a mall - worth a visit if you are staying in the area and accessible by boat. Let us know where you coming FROM and we will advise the best way.

Perhaps you're referring to the Floating market. This is about 1 1/2 hours outside BKK. You can take a driver, like Ratt, or a guide, like Tong. Do a search on this forum for these.

If you mean the weekend market, you take the skytrain.

Or perhaps he means the big fresh market that has lots of flowers as well - Pak Klong Talat. Take the river boat to Memorial Bridge pier and the market is right next to it.

Then again, there's a market on the river in Chiang Mai also. He didn't say WHERE in Thailand he meant.
