Just returned from the 18 day Yangzte tour with Ritz. We were very happy with the trip. The national and local guides were excellent. The food was very good. The hotels were excellent, except the New Otani in Beijing-couldn't control the temperature and rooms were quite warm (at least when it was 100 degrees outside). The Victoria ship was very nice, food good and crew excellent. The ship was clean and well taken care of. I would take another Ritz tour. We traveled 15 days on our own, with Ritz arranging the domestic flights, train tickets and city packets and were never disappointed. Tickets were always delivered to our hotels and someone was always at the airports to pick us up. These local guides were wonderful-young-excellent English and extremely informative.

My wife and I took the tour at the end of MAy, and had a wonderful time. We added on a day in Guilin in order to take the Li river tour. Ritz took care of that for us also. They supplied a guide who was with the group all along as well as local guides in each city. The hotels were top notch and the food was good.

You can see the pictures from our tour at our web site:

http://www.peacham.com/china

Fritz

We are on our final countdown. We leave on our 24-day Ritz Tour to China & Thailand only 3 days from now and will let everyone know how it goes. We're getting very excited at this point. We can not thank everyone enough for all of their pointers on travel in China. We've been avid "Fodor Asia Forum Watchers" for two years now. Thank-you all!!!
