Except for the first message in this thread, can somebody explain why all other messages continue here? Why you do not move to Fodorite Lounge, or why you do not write each other by mail?
It is not a turistic discussion, it is not interesting for most of the readers / writers, has nothing to do with Asia.

M-I note that the original post concerns a country that is not in Asia. Consequently, the title informs all that the thread does not concern Asia travel. It does, however, initiate conversation concerning a regular poster. As with many threads, the responses are not linear. In fact, neither BC nor C is a regular poster on this forum. They are regular Europe posters. We are engaged in near-meaningless banter which is a common occurence. I'm sorry that there is no meaningful information, but that is also fairly common.
I am surprised that anyone who is bothered by these posts would invest the time to read them.

Please don’t understand me wrong. This thread doesn’t offend me, and, I did not intend to offend somebody.
No, I didn’t joke.
I just could not understand why this exchange of messages is done here, in Asia board (or in any other destination board).

Threads take on a life of their own. On this forum, many are regular posters and we've gotten familiar with each others' peculiarities. We will often comment thereon. Again, I note that the original post was about non-Asia and clearly an invitation from a regular to begin banter. We followed suit (I hope it's all right to use a bridge reference on a travel forum).

I've been posting here on Fodor's for years and have never been the object of this type of complaint before. What I find very interesting, though, is when I click on the name of the person doing the complaining, THIS thread is the only thread he or she has posted on. Good luck with your upcoming surgery, dear.

The Michigander is correct. Smeagol is Nikki. Unbelievably enough, her husband is Muffin. Ask Bob for the derivation of that.
Don't worry Mimi, I know the earth names of you and Bookchick. You are unforgettable.

Bob, I found this on Wikipedia.
"Mephistophiles (also Mephistophilus, Mephistophilis, Mephostopheles, Mephisto and variants) is a name given to a devil or demon in the Faust legend."
Why do those pesky lawyer-types talk in language that normal types have to look up in a dictionary??
