Restaurant in Hong Kong
Any restaurant in HKG in the top of a tower?
And a good chinese restaurant in the center? Thanks |
Felix in The Peninsula.
Top of The Tower at the Excelsior in Casueway Bay. Revolving 66 at the Hopewell Center in Wanchai. Petrus at the Island Shangri-La. There are probably more, but these are the ones that pop out of my mind. And I'll let others recommend Chinese restaurants. There are way too many, but I don't know how much you want to spend. And when in doubt, eat at one of the top hotels. |
Dining in the top of a tower sounds great unless there is fog and then you see nothing. We just came back from Hong Kong and 4 days of fog. We dined at Felix which was wonderful but with no view. If you are looking for both a beautiful view and great food try the restaurants at the Intercontinental..Yu, Spoon, buffet restaurant, etc. They are all on the first few floors with amazing views regardless of the weather.

The one on top of Excelsior Hotel in Causeway Bay is called "The Top of the Town's" (a.k.s. TTOT's). Vong Vietnamese Restaurant of the Mandarin Oriental has a nice view as well.
Regarding Chinese restaurants, there are way too many good ones around. I assume you'll go for dim sum and Cantonese cuisine - 1. Yung Kee in Central - mostly for roasted goose 2. Man Ho Chinese restaurant of the Marriot Hotel in Admiralty 3. Shang Palace of Shangri-la Hotel in Admiralty 3. Yee Tung Heen of Excelsior Hotel in Causeway Bay Of course, there are also other more less-costly Chinese restaurant all around the town but be prepared for a long queue if you go for lunch without a booking. |
Another option: Cafe Deco at the Peak, with great view of Central and Kowloon side at night.

The food at Cafe Deco was mediocre at best, I thought. Some people think the view makes up for it - I don't.
