I was just at the Dome two nights ago. I noticed that Sirocco was extremely windy that night. The view is exceptional, yes, but there is a railing that keeps people from falling... it is just about at eye level when sitting at a table. If you should opt to dine inside the dome at Mezzaluna restaurant, there are no railings to block the view. The glass windows go from floor to ceiling. Nothing to keep you from seeing the city sights. You need to call ahead for a table for four by the window. We sat at a table that was "up" a step or two from the window tables. The view was good, but we wished we had called ahead for a table AT the window. The food is lovely. If you are considering eating at the top of State Tower, you already know that prices are high. Four of us dined there, but with two bottles of wine at about $85 each, and the bill was just under 19,000 baht. That's about $475. If you do not have a bottle or wine you can cut the price considerably. The bill was about half food and half beverages.
