Well it's similar to countless hotels, haven't stayed there or sent anyone there, any particular reason for choosing it? We are putting visitors in the Zenith Executive rooms (Hemmingway Club Rooms ) for about $60 a night and no complaints. It really depends what you are looking for and where in BKK you want to base yourself.

Hi James, Thanks for your quick response. The reason I was looking at the Rembrandt was because I found it for $45 a night and its a four star and I was thinking it was very cheaply priced for a 4 star hotel??? I have just checked out the Zenith Hotel and there are rooms there for $42 a night on www.thailandhotels.voyagenow.com........sounds good to me. I think i will book that, the location is quite good isn't it?

Actually $42 sounds quite a good deal, make sure includes tax/service and breakfast.

The Asia Hotel Bangkok which is quite good has specials at $38 which I found on an Australia site.

Just for interest when we call locally in Bangkok to such hotels we get quoted 'crazy' prices like $70-90 for those hotels(!) even with what they say is a 'Business Discount'!!

The difference between different websites even is massive. you really need to shop around!!! Thanks again James, much appreciated

One point is that just in the way you choose a hotel or airline the cheapest is not always the best, you need also to balance the booking service efficiency, in Thailand we use one that might not always be the cheapest but their service is tops mainly because they are local and have been goes for years, never one even minor problem in years and years.

Hi

My wife and I stayed at Remrandt hotel on Sukhumwit on two occasions when we went on vacation to Thailand in September 2002. I found it to be a pretty nice hotel: great breakfast, OK rooms, nice pool, different resturants, not too far from the skytrain station Asok etc. I have posted some more info in my trip report with pictures on my personal homepage www.gardkarlsen.com. Maybe you can find some useful info there :-) I have also posted a review on http://www.epinions.com/content_86039694980
