Reflections Hotel-Bangkok
 

Has anyone stayed at this hotel or heard anything about it? it looks very interesting!

never heard of it but finally a place I personly would go too . but it is a bit away from your regular toursts hubs. yet it seems too be close too ARI BTS station. .. this is the boutique style of hotel I'm interested in, artsy and modern.. Every room has a diffrent theme and from looks of it the owner really digs Fernando Botero the colombian artist who paints charactures of fat people.

fodorites may want too take a peak at the site you may never stay in the place but it is fun too browse the site and open the door and see the funky looking rooms inside..

the price seems OK for 2600 a day plus breakfest and it looks too have a small swimming pool..

I stayed at the Reflections last June and will be heading there again in September for a few days. It's a bit way off from the touristy sites but the train is just a few minutes walk so travelling about is not a problem. The rooms are great. I stayed in Room 301 in June and it was spacious with our own balcony space to just relax after a tiring day out. The hotel isn't brand new but if you want something that is different - Reflections the place to stay. If you want something 'naughty', room 401 is it but was told that it's booked all the way to October. It's a fun place and the people are friendly. Breakfast is simple but sufficient. The pool is not as small as it looks from the website. It's really cosy the way they did up the whole place. And there's even a shop there that sells all the cool things that they used to decorate the rooms. If you want to try a different room each night, you can do that if you don't mind packing up each morning. Am looking forward to the next room we're staying in come September!

It has been mentioned quite a lot in the local press, it certainly looks unique and it's nice to get these 'alternatives', another mentioned recently though I don't know it myself is the new Shanghai Inn which is opening end of this month.

I'll look into that one too. I generally like smaller more boutique type places rather than the large chain hotels. Although they are comfortable and nice for an occassional splurge, I don't really feel like I've gone too far from home hanging out in a Marriott or Hilton. I get enough of that traveling for work.

I just looked at the Shanghai Inn and it looks way cool too. The only downside is that it doesn't appear to have a swimming pool. Given that we're going in April, I bet the pool will come in handy!
