You may try a modern deluxe hotel, which is close to the statue circle, in Jaipur. I think it is called the Plaza Prime or Park Prime?? (I will need to pull out the restaurant receipts to get the name right!!) I have been there several times to have dinners at the rooftop 'Terrace Grill' Restaurant. It is very plush & a lot of local elite comes here to have grub. Some new properties have come up as well on the outskirts. These are Shiv Vilas / Le Meridien.

Sorry, just been dense!
Both are excellant properties. The Trident is smaller but closer to Amber fort & the city palace or you may say the general locale of sight seeing in Jaipur.
Taj Jai Mahal - 5*dlx Palace hotel, is further down south of the city. It is a much bigger heritage property, well manicured vast lawns, typical garden 'chattries', a solar heated swimming pool & good restaurants. In case you intend taking the early morning elephant ride to Amber, you will need to leave a bit earlier. It is comparatively expensive.
Happy Travels!
