Ratt's Service
 

I had made reservation with Ratt over two months ago for her services, she had responded by telling me that Ms Mint would be our driver for airport pick-up and for use on other days. I e-mailed her the other day and was told Ms Mint would pick us up at airport but would not be available for the following day. She said had other driver by the name of Mr Denchai. I read many posting about Ms Mint which were outstandind, never read anything about Mr Denchai. Am leaving this coming Monday and want get some imput as to this person if anyone has some. I don't like being switched off at the last minute. Any comments would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, this is typical Ratt. We had a great experience with her and the other driver she arranged. Now it seems that even those that work for her get busy. That being said, those that she chooses to work with her have been, for the most part pretty good and in some cases better than Ratt herself.

Thanks for the info Craig, I have e-mailed her and asked for some information re: Denchai , hopefully he speaks fairly good english and is knowledgeable about the things we want to do and see.

I had exactly the same experience with Ratt, only we thought Miss Mint would be our guide until someone else showed up at the hotel. I was really put off by it all, as I felt deceived, but the guide Ratt sent, Tony, was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and spoke perfect english. He gave us some story about the reason Miss Mint was not available, but I don't think I believed it. Don't know about Mr. Denchai - only knew our guide's first name. It could be the same person.

Thanks Sharon, hopefully it will be the same person you had, I'm awaiting a reply from Ratt regarding this Mr Denchai, will let you know if it is the same.

Received a long e-mail from Ratt, stating that Ms Mint has to finish her language class in Korean and that Mr Denchai will be a good guide but has a slight Chinese accent and then she goes on to say that picking up at airport does not give their drivers an opportunity to make much money. I told her I was planning to use her services for a full day and also return to airport. I'm starting to get a little concerned as to what type of service I will receive. I also booked her sister in ChangMai. I hope I didn't make a mistake as I won't be arriving in Bangkok till 19 May.
