In Jan 2006 - for a licensed guide/driver, brand new honda accord, 2500 baht for 8am to about 6pm. She was great, worth every penny. Her name was either Mink or Ming.

I've heard from Tong that fodorites emailed to book her and then cancelled her 1 day in advance. She told me that Ratt also got the same problem lately.
What's going on here?
Bob, you can email them directly if you would like to know, I think you're the one who knows their prices better than others.
What's the point for asking this? For your new comer group???
Just wonder..

I sure hope is reliable as she was before expanding. We have 4 and 1/2 days with her in April and she can make or break our trip in Bangkok. The same goes for her sister Poon in Chiangi Mai for the 3 days she will be taking us taking us outside the city to Hill Tribes, Lampang, and national parks.

Tong charges 2500 baht for a 10 hour day, plus an additional charge for gas if out of town trip. This is for a sedan. The cost for a van is 3500-4000 baht.

Yes what happened to my reply to this post, I detailed all of Ratts charges.

Who is the moderator of this forum and what are the criteria they work to ???

Julie Taxi's charges are detailed on her website. Note that the cost is higher if you ask for the Volvo (which we did). www.julietaxi.com

Darcie Mar 5th, 2006 06:15 PM

Hi Kathie
I was looking at Julie's web site for her rates.. and I can't find them. Am I blind? If you could post them (or tell me where I've missed a web link!) that'd be great.
Thanks, D.

Kathie Mar 5th, 2006 06:53 PM

Darcie, they have changed the website since I booked with them in November. At that time thay listed a per hour rate and a half day full day rate. Now they list itineraries or destinations. You'd probably have to call or email Julie for rates. Note that on teh itineraries there is a different charge for the Volvo vs. the taxi.

Julie charged us 2500B for a full day, including a trip to the floating market in the morning plus afternoon time in Bangkok. We had the Volvo (and her and Paul). And she paid for lunch! We didn't stand for that and added to what she said. She's worth every baht.
Also, Julie mentioned to us that she's got a new website julietaxi.net (vice .com). She said the .com one is maintained by someone she pays for website maintenance and her son (I think that's what she said) keeps the .net version more current.
