Random photos of Myanmar

Here are a few random photos of Myanmar taken in Feb/march. The photos are of varying quality but they bring back reminders of the places and people.

Unfortunately when I uploaded the photos to Flicker the photos became jumbled up so there is no continuity, so please just bear with the disorder.

There are some photos of Min Thu and his horse, Su Su, in Bagan. When going for lunch one day at the Moon Restaurant, Su Su turned around rather than reversing. This caused her cart to knock over a few tables and break an umbrella. Luckily no one was sitting at the tables. This accident was greeted with laughter from all present, including the owner of the Moon, and the tables speedily righted. The umbrella pole was broken but a quick excursion to the nearby bamboo clump produced a replacement and then life proceeded as usual. At home this accident would have resulted in litigation not laughter. The Burmese have a nicer way of dealing with life’s little accidents.

There is a panorama of Bagan near the end which turned out quite well given it was my first attempt at a panorama. If you go to Bagan try the Moon for great food and nice company.

Thanks for sharing your photos! The panorama is very nice. And I enjoyed the story about SuSu at the restuarant.
