Rajasthan pick one?
 

We only have 3 nts/4 days and we need to pick one place in rajashthan to visit.
Which one is highly recommended for visiting, shopping and photography?
-Jaipur
-Udaipur
-Jodhpur

Of the three, I'd pick Udaipur.

Jodhpur, one of my all time favorite cities. But have you done some reading to see which might appeal most to YOU?

Udaipur! Serene, beautiful, and amazing people. Udaipur is my favorite Indian city.

I like Jodhpur, too, but I found Udaiipur easier to wander around and beautifully sited on the lake. I lived the fort at Jodhpur, though.

we loved Udaipur, liked jodhpur, and consider Jaipur a must..

my pick: Udaipur if your transportation issues are all equal.

I will prefer Jaipur. It is most beautiful city.

Udaipur would me my favorite and Jaipur the one I liked the least. Jaipur is on all the itineraries because it has a lot of famous sites and is well situated to combine with Delhi and Agra but I found it completely overwhelming, very tourist driven. The touts are very aggressive. However, I have friends who love shopping and so Jaipur is a highlight for them.

I tried to give it a second chance on another trip when we were staying near by and felt the same way. The fort is lovely but we enjoyed the freedom to move around in Udaipu, it's just much lower key and for me I like the Aravali hills and the various attractions outside of Udaipur too. The lake is so lovely, the scale of things is manageable, we've stayed in both high and mid end places and enjoyed both experiences.

Often the choice comes down to convenience, people miss Udaipur because they need more time to get there. But it's just about what works for you. On our first trip we flew into Udaipur from Mumbai and then made our way overland to Delhi.

It will depend on where are you coming from coz accessability may be a concern. My pick would be Udaipur for its beautiful lake & surroundings like Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur etc followed by Jodhpur for its magnificient fort & amazing shopping.

Udaipur..for the lake ,palaces, mountains around,the setting cant get better, you can go on a day trip to places like Kumbhalgarh, Ranakpur.

My vote is also going with Udaipur. The city is regarded as one of the beautiful tourist spots of the country. It has its own rich cultural heritage and historic destinations. Some of my favorites are:

I thought Jaipur was the place for shopping? what kinds of things to buy in Jodhpur?

I've never been moved to visit Jaipur but Jodhpur does indeed have great stuff to buy. There's a narrow main street leading into the old city from the station area that has shops, some quite large with a great selection of quintessentially Indian goods like shawls & textiles and housewares. Another part of the city has warehouses full of antique furniture, is THE place to go for antiques. I sleep every night on an old Anglo-Indian bed, one of those very high carved ones, that I bought in Jodhpur.
