Rainy Season in SEA
 

I am planning a trip to Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand for Aug 2007. I know it is the rainy season, but does that mean rain practically everyday? Is it so much rain to ruin a trip? Basically, should I still continue to plan this trip or go a different time of year? Thank you!!!

There is no time of the year when it is rainy in all of those places. Take a look at www.weatherbase.com and check each location you are interested in visiting. It gives hi and low temps, rainfall, etc.

August is fine in lots of places in Thailand in August, too much is made of heavy rain in some areas it is easy for people to think it applies to everywhere, but it doens't.

Sorry I clicked before finished:- It is going to vary where you are going, there can be a big difference, if you can mention more the specific places you plan to visit it is easier.

It can rain every day in some places but it's not like it's raining all day, usually just a heavy downpour towards late afternoon. I agree some people make too much of the weather. I actually like the rainy season, tourist numbers are down, it's not too hot and everything is lush and green. So you get wet from time to time, it's not cold!~
