Qui Nhon
 

We are thinkink of visiting Qui Nhon on our way heading south so just wondering if anybody on this forum has visited there. Any info would be good. We are having a bit of a hard time with getting used to vietnamese food so that could be a problem there as it is less of a tourist area. But that also is good since it is maybe not so busy.

Quay Nhon certainly sees less foreign tourists so language will be bigger issue there than elaswhere, which in turn could lead to more issues with food. If you are looking for more western typ food then Nha Trang, Hue, Hoi An or Saigon will offer more choice.
Personally I love Vietnamese food and find te best stuff is in the smaller restaurants doing just one or two dishes. If you are struggling to identify stuff you may like, my wife wrote a couple of post on our blog about food in Vietnam @ https://accidentalnomads.com/category/food-in-asia/

Ky Co beach in Quy Nhon is one of the most beautiful beaches of Vietnam. If you come here, I think this is the best place for you. Qui Nhon city is much quieter and fresher than Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City

We came to Quy Nhon with plans of staying 2 nights. Well we have been here for 3 nights and planning on staying 6 more. It is so much easier for us for 2 reasons. The people are wonderful. Even when they cant speak our langauge and we cant speak theirs we still get along great. They are so willing to try to help us which other than about 3 people we did not find that in Da Nang.
it is also much smaller population here so a slower pace. We actually find it easier to find a place to eat here as well. You do still get some places that are far to messy at night throwing thier napkins, beer cans and seafood shells on the floor but no where near as bad as Da Nang. I think that may be an acceptable practice in some Asian Culture but it is not for me.
