Question for Craig
Craig,
Which sites have you found helpful when searching for information about Myanmar? Rob |
Hi Rob - good to hear from you. I started my research on Fodors, of course. www.virtual tourist.com and www.tripadvisor.com have lots of information from travelers that have visited Myanmar. Some of the tour operators have sites with good information:
www.myanmars.net www.myanmarinformation.com And surprisingly, www.Asiahotels.com's Myanmar destination guides are very informative. I also recommend two books which have been very helpful: Lonely Planet Myanmar (Burma) and The Treasures and Pleasures of Thailand and Myanmar I hope this helps. When are you thinking of going? |
Thanks very much Craig.
We won't be going until 2008--I don't know which month yet. But one can never start planning a trip too early--can one! I'm sure that you and Jeane are looking forward to your trip with great anticipation. |
Here's a question for Craig:
Are the Yankees at all interested in fielding a competitive team? |
Andy - the FIRST PLACE Yankees have traded the high-maintainance David Sheffield to Detroit and signed the still youthful Andy Pettitte during this year's hot stove league while the THIRD PLACE Red Sox acquired an expensive Japanese pitcher in Matsuzaka. We'll see who's still in it next October $-)
And now back to our regularly scheduled programming... |
But when will they trade the high maintenance A-Rod?
(Sorry Rob, I couldn't resist.) |
Is David Sheffield Gary's brother? Andy Pettite was soooo helpful to Houston. I can see why he's a cruciial addition. My guess is that Giambi will share his secret potion with his fellow bombers.
|
rob---i have a great driver in yangon...he travels the country also....ask if you are interested...
marry christmas and HNY to you and iris.. bob |
RE: Sheffield - so much for proofreading. Speaking of which, Pettitte has 4 "T's" in it. He never should have left New York in the first place so it doesn't matter to me what he did in Houston - his situation is similar to what happened to a certain formerly beloved center fielder in Boston.
Also, I should have mentioned the $106 million Boston spent for Drew and Lugo - the Yankees are trying something new this year called "fiscal responsibility" - I don't believe that term exists in Massachusetts. |
Bob,
I will definitely be interested. I will be asking lots of questions before we make any plans. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to both you and Karen. "Lang may your lum reek" PS That is not an insult!! |
No, we're going for Physical responsibility.
It's not how mant "t's" in his name, but how many pitches left in his arm. Poor Robemac. All he wanted was a simple answer to his Myanmar investigations. I guess he should have chosen his title better. |
Andy,
Don't worry about me. I am going to enjoy the fact that both you and Craig are going to be eating humble pie when the Blue Jays win the pennant next year. Is it just me or have Andy & Bob morphed into the same person? The spelling and proofreading of both their posts are extremely similar. |
I'm not sure who should be more insulted--Andy or Bob
|
Trust me, I'm more insulted. My posts are a stream of consciousness affair, while Bob's are a trickle of unconsciousness.
Blue Jays? One of the most annoying fowl in the forest. |
Nice comeback
|
Noone's ever going to confuse this with a travel forum...
|
The Red Sox will be travelling to many distant cities in the playoffs.
In fact, Larry Lucchino talked at yesterday's press conference about the beloved Carmine Hose playing some games in Japan. Asia, get it? |
Carmine hose???
The Red Sox WILL be traveling to many distant cities during the playoffs - their home towns... |
Can't we all just get along?
|
Craig-that was actually quite humorous. I'm hoping you're a NY Giants fan.
Rob-I'm barely able to co-exist with those few people in my life. There should be no expectation that I will be electronically pleasant. |
