Question about credit cards in China
I have read here that there could be problems in using foreign credit cards in China. I see that Bank of Shanghai has an International Credit card. Is it worth pursuing obtaining a credit card based in China, basically to pay for hotels? If so, how do you do it? We will be visiting China in late March/April. Thank you.

I've never had problems using a US - issued credit card in China, nor have any of my friends who have made recent trips to China.
What is it you have heard that makes you think you'll have problems?

Unless staying at backpacker hostels that may want to be paid in chinese cash, which I assume you are not doing, foreign credit cards are accepted all hotels. Please tell us about the "problems" you hav read about.
