Pushkar Accomodations

I have been to the Pushkar Camel Fair in the past but have always stayed in various tent facilities. The results have been mixed for sure. Just wondering if there are any decent hotels/b&b near the fair that people have stayed in that are somewhat nicer and yet within walking distance to the fair.
Thanks

During Fair, the price of hotel is really very high, so that's why if your budget is not higher, I suggest a tent accommodation. How much is your budget like?

We stayed in the Inn Seventh Heaven during the fair in 2010 and we loved it. It has lots of character , and a very welcoming owner. The only down was the heavy rain that we experienced in the evenings, which we did not expect but that obviously had nothing to do with the Inn.

Close to the Fair Grounds is a 10-acre rose garden, called the Colonel's Camp. Some years previously, I stayed at this place during the Pushkar Fair. They had Bamboo Huts with attached bath, minibar etc. Those are now gone and in place, I am told, stand a nice hotel with some tents. There is a swimming pool but may not be usable as a lot of dust settles in the water due to the Fair. This place is well-priced,not luxurious but comfortable, the evening programme is short, nicely organised sans the ear-splitting beating of drums. The colonel himself follows it up on the ethos & history...remarkable ambience!
Food, though vegetarian, is excellent.
