Private house/cottage for rent in the Philippines?
Hello All,
Anyone know of a private house/cottage that is avaiable for rent on a nice beach in the Philippines? We are looking for a place that can sleep 5 adults, and 1 child.
We are looking for decent cooking facilities, and a quiet, relaxing beach.

Hi China Expat,
If you can swing it "budget-wise" the Amanpulo is awesome. They have two villas (house/cottage), not the casitas, that will sleep several adults and children with full kitchen facilities, amah's rooms, etc.
The island itself is private and the villas are very private - slightly seperated from the casitas.
As the mom of five, IMHO, I must say that this is one of the greatest family beach resorts - period. Safe, with security a priority, unobtrusive but ever present, gorgeous beaches, totally private, a children's playground, fabulous food (a barbecue on the beach for just your family is a must), wonderful amahs if you want to leave your helper at home but would still like to enjoy a romantic dinner alone with your husband, great boat trips (even for the littlest ones) for snorkeling and sightseeing, a fun private golf cart for your personal use for zipping around the island - just a relaxing and super fun holiday.

There are several beach front properties in boracay that are for rent. They are houses that are for rent. Not sure what the name of the company is but they have several properties. I've come across them on the web but don't have their website on hand. Maybe you can do a serch or look for it in the boracay websites.

Amanpulo is on Pamalican Island (not in the Southern Philippines really - more to the South-West of Manila). The resort operates a safe and comfortable small private plane from Manila to the island. From Singapore we must always stay overnight in Manila on our way to Pamalican due to the flight schedule - but we kind of enjoy Manila. The resort information is on www.amanresorts.com but I have heard others mention other websites for better rates. We usually just book directly with the resort as it is very popular and can get full quickly. I hope this helps!
