Prices at Bumrungrad

My husband is in BKK right now and went over to the hospital to have a laser treatment on his nose which has a broken blood vessel/sun damage. It took no time at all and cost $200! I thought that was quite high and probably would've cost the same here. Are laser treatments not as reasonable there as other services?

You'll have to price it at home to know whether it's a good deal or not.

For dental work, it cost me under US$30 for an exam and cleaning as opposed to over $150 in Seattle.

I don't know about lazer service. I was there in December and saw an orthopedic specialist for a severe knee injury and only paid the equivalent of US$42.00 which included two medications and the facility fee. Now, I know that there's no way it would have cost only $42.00 here in the States. My sister and her husband are doctors and I know what the fees are. I didn't use any insurance there. I just paid for the service with my visa debit card. Happy Travels!

I suspect that where a service involves the use of expensive equipment, it's going to cost more than procedures that are more man-power intensive.

MichaelBKK is correct. The laser procedures require expensive equipment manufactured overseas. Laser procedures are charged by the square centimeter.(By area treated)

Well, he's got a small nose and it was only one broken vein!

i guess i would have asked the price before i had the procedure....

i can't think of any procedure in the usa that costs as little as $200....i had my teeth cleaned today and xrays and it was way over $200....

Bob, you should have had your teeth cleaned at Bumrungrad, like I did! It was very reasonable.

My physical was also reasonable.

Yes, he should've asked the price first but I think just took it for granted that it would be as reasonable as other services he has had done there-hope the one treatment will do the job.
