Possible itinerary - 4 days in Georgia

Hi , We are (2 person) visiting Georgia by 27th of September for 4 full days. we will reach Tbilisi by early morning and leaving the country on 5th day morning.
Sudden plan. doesn't have much time to research. If anyone can help us about itinerary will be great.
We are more interested to go to the mountain side then in the City.
May be the day we reach Tbilisi we would like spend in the city and would like to visit the must see places in the city.

1.Another three days would like to spend out side of the city. I heard the country is really colorful in Autumn, where we can see and enjoy the Autumn nature?-- suggestion please?,

2. Not interested to rent a car as completely new in this country, not sure about the roads. Is it possible to visit the palaces like Kakheti, Kazbegi and Mtskheta\Gori by usinf public transport? Do we need to come back to Tbilisi every night ? If we are doing a night stay in Kazbegi instead og coming back to Tblisi, what can be the next destination? How we can visit Thusiti National park? Can we reach there by Public transport or need to go for package tour?

3.Is it better to go for package tour as we have very short time? Is there so many travel agencies there is Tbilisi city who operate day to dy tour? what will be the best option?

4. please give some advice on budget as well.

Lots of questions, if any one can help for any thing, will be great.

Advance thanks.

Recommend getting yourself a good guidebook. I used Lonely Planet but Bradt would work too. You have a very short trip but might manage an overnight in the mountains. There is plenty to see in and around Tbilisi and wine country to the east.

I was there in 2009. My information is out of date. Buy/borrow an up-to-date guidebook.

However, you can read about my trip starting here (links at the top of the page):

Georgia is a very cheap destination.

Hello,

I'd advise the following program:

Day 1: Day Tour to Mt. Kazbegi

Day 2: Wine Tour to East Georgia
Overnight in Telavi.

Day 3: Telavi - Sighnaghi -david Gareja -> Tbilisi
