Ponheary Ly Foundation supporters - participate in article?
The Travel editor at the Philadelphia Inquirer is interested in an article on my time in Cambodia with Ponheary. So, I'm looking to talk with others who have given donations to the PLF or to the schools directly.
If interested, please send me an email with your phone number, along with the best time to call. Not promising that all quotes will be used, but I'd definitely like some other voices in there to round out the story. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Chris-
I'm sending you an email, too.
Of our time in Siem Reap, my husband says he has seen enough temples to last a lifetime, but he would happily go back just to hang out and play with the kids at the school we visited.

Thanks to everyone who has contacted me. Even though I'm an editor here, this story is considered freelance for me, so I have to finish all of my other work before I can do the interviews. As you can imagine, with so many people out this week, it's been hectic! I will try to call as soon as possible...

The article ran yesterday in our Travel section. I'll be interested to hear from Lori and Ponheary about how it will affect donations. Sorry that I couldn't include comments from people I talked with - the main story grew too long. I did include a sidebar about (I think) a Fodorite, a student who has volunteered at Ponheary's schools.

Chris,
Thanks for the article. I joined the Ponheary Ly Foundation board after returning from Cambodia 2 years ago and contacting Lori.
While in Siem Reap, our guide had taken a friend and me to a school to distribute pens. Seeing the children there became a life-affecting experience for me.
What Ponheary (and Lori) are doing is so special and I feel fortunate to be helping them in their efforts.

Lori - That's great - it's nice to know when an article has an impact! I got a call yesterday from the principal of a local elementary school who said he is going to Cambodia in March. His kids want to have a fundraising drive for the school. I sent him yours and Ponheary's email, so expect one soon.

Chris,
Loved the articles! Our group of five - family and one friend - were with Ponheary last January for several days during our SE Asia travels. Our time with her and the children at the Khna school was the highlight of our trip. Ponheary is an amazing person and she works so hard as an advocate for these children. Many thanks to Lori for setting up the foundation and allowing all of us to help in this effort.
