Pong Yaeng Elephant Camp in Chiang Maii

I want to go to one of the elephant camps in Chiang Mai. The one in Lampang sounds great, but it's very far. I read in Nancy Chandler's map that there's one in Pong Yaeng which is a lot closer to the center of the city. Does anybody know about it or has been there?

We went to the elephant camp north of Chiang Mai last year....It's touristy (a bit of a circus feel). That being said, we enjoyed ourselves more than we thought we would. The elephants are well treated, and their "show" was really fun to watch. We're returning next month to the camp in Lampang, but if that's too out of the way, at least go to this one.

We went to the Maetamann Elephant Camp near Chiang Mai in November (http://www.maetamann.siamblood.com/).
There was an elephant ride across the river and up a hill through the forest, a good show with amazing paintings done by the elephants, and a bamboo raft ride on the Maetamann River.
