Don't worry. For 30 minutes, any hill can't be too steep. My wife is frightened by heights and she loved the ride. I'd suggest that you just make a choice and move on to the other wonders of your trip.

Re: Ratt, I booked her early, hearing some others staying she was booked far ahead, and also her sister for Chiang Rai. I will post back on how it goes.

How many sister's does Ratt have? :-) I booked her sister my stay in Chiang Mai and now I read she also has one in Chiang Rai! :-)

Gloria -- Probably the same sister :) I believe she is out of Chiang Mai, but when I asked Ratt to refer me to someone for Chiang Rai she suggested her sister (and asked if we're flying into Chiang Mai, which we're not). Have fun!
