Playstation 3?

We will be visiting Bangkok & Singapore in December. Can anyone please tell me how easily we will get hold of a Sony Play station 3 and any ideas of where to buy plus an indicative price please?

the ps3 is not launched in singapore. there are export sets (Asian version) selling for S$1,550 with a few games.

saw a wii (us version) for sale today at S$780! :(

I found them in Tampines where I work. I think they can be found in Sim Lim Square and Funan Centre though. Right now they are very expensive as they are not officially launched. I expect the PS3 to cost around S$1,000 and the Wii below S$500 then.

Make sure the playstation is for your country (NTSC?). Check locally for pirated games too.

I just noticed "Bangkok" (I'm watching TV). Go to the Pantip Plaza on Phetchburi (near Ratchaprarop). They have everything to do with computers, games, DVD's. Shop around as some are notably cheaper than others.

All taxi drivers should know the Pantip Plaza.

don't think whether it's NTSC or PAL cos most if not all newer TVs are multi system ones.

I'll be in Bangkok next week. Will checkout Pantip Plaza if I can squeeze it in as I'll be with my family. Before that have to book my hotel first. Apparently the Arnoma is fully booked except for the most expensive rooms!
