Planning 2nd trip to Hokkaido. 8th trip to Japan. Autumn 2025

Hello, I just bought ticket to Tokyo end of Sep-2025. 7 Adults (35+) & 4 Kids (2yo, 5yo, 8yo, 11yo). Currently' I'm a bit confused on planning the itinerary as i don't want it to be too tiring, yet get the best of our time. I went to Hokkaido the first time in 2016. It was 5 days Hokkaido (Sapporo - Otaru - Noboribetsu - Lake Toya - Hakodate - 5 days Tokyo).

There are few things that I'm still confused at the moment.
1. Should I stay in Furano area for 2 nights or just take a day trip from Sapporo?
3. Should I drive to Furano or take a Day Tour?
3. For onsen/ryokan stay, any recommendation? should I go the one closer to Sappor or Furano
And for the itinerary, here's what I have so far. Please give me your thought and advice. Thank you

wow, that is busy/complicated which is ok for solo or two-person travel, but I can't imagine the logistics of it for 11 people. A van for 11 passengers plus luggage?
