Are planetholiday.com reliable as far as booking rooms in Asia? Any horror stories?

I used planetholiday a couple of years ago with no problems. You may find that asia-hotels.com has better prices, however.

I used planetholiday this summer without any problems. However, I found it disconcerting when I returned to my hotel room one day and found a fax for me. Turns out that the local travel agency planetholiday had used to book my hotel room had sent me an unsolicited advertisement for local tours, etc.

Craig, can you tell me if planetholiday issues vouchers over the internet? We booked with them and they responded with a voucher which we must give to the hotel. Is this how they worked?<BR><BR>Thanks!

If you have been issued a voucher, by all means bring it with you--it is "proof" that you have a reservation in case something does go wrong. I don't recall any of the hotels we stayed at actually asking for the voucher.
