Hello everyone, Next week I am going to Patiala with my family. Could any one tell me the places to visit over there.

Plenty to do in Ol' Patti-Ala! After you have picked up your accommodation at the Neemrana Rajendra Kothi, in the heart of Baradari Gardens, preferably the suite which opens on to the patio and commands great views of the gardens, ask your driver to take you to the Mahendra College with it's imposing twin towers. Take a few pictures of the institute, one of the oldest (1875) in north India. Your next stop is Shahi Smadhan (Royal cenotaph). Leave your car and start walking towards the Gur Mandi (Jaggery market). On your right you will see a small street that works its way through some of the oldest areas of the city and rejoins the main road. You will come across many old havelis and houses.
Your next stop is the Fort Qila Mubarak, of 1763 vintage...one of the best Sikh forts built with Lakhori bricks and fine architecture. The fort is under repairs but if you know someone in the Intach, you can get it opened and the Qila Androon will amaze you, such beautiful artwork done in mirrors & colours!
Walk along the Kinari market and you will have entered Adalat Bazaar. Enjoy some refreshments at the Jaggi's and then, if antique artifacts, are your weakness, ask Jagdish jewellers to show you some of their collection. I have seen some amazing work of art done in silver!
Your walk now takes you to Dharampura Bazaar, a place where the nautch girls performed, as recounted by old-timers. You may still see some of the dilapidated balconies from where the sounds of music came floating down, in an era gone by!
The Kali Devi Temples are sacrosanct since before 1904, when the idol of the goddess was installed by the HH Patiala.
The Bahadurgarh Sikh Temple is the place where the 9th apostle of the sikhs rested and confabulated religious discourse with Saiffudin, the moslem seer, and incidentally brother-in-law of Aurangzeb, before his martyrdom at the Sis Ganj temple in Old Delhi c 1673!
Another Sikh temple lies at Fatehgarh, where the young children of the 10th apostle were bricked alive by Wazir Khan the governor of Sirhind, for refusing to embrace Islam!
Your sojourn at Patiala will be incomplete without visiting the Gymkhana & having dinners on the lawns, with one of the members. This is where Jardine of the bodyline series lost to Lala Amarnath, the cricketing legend in 1933!

Last week we visited to The Bahadurgarh Sikh Temple, Fort Qila Mubarak,Qila Mubarak Complex. And We take dinner at hotel polo club. They served the delicious tasty food. We all love it.
Now We plan to visit Sheesh Mahal, Moti Bagh Palace and Bir Moti Bagh Sanctuary after fews days. .
