Places open late in BKK
 

Hi all, I'm leaving for BKK tomorrow early AM and was wondering if there is curfew at night?

How late are the bars and clubs open?

Bars and Clubs in Bangkok are all, as a general rule, closed at 1AM. There are a number of places open late but they are all local-oriented and mostly located on Rachadapisek Road. If night life is your fancy, your best bet will be Pattaya, where the authorities are more linient and open air bars are open until very late, sometime sunrise.

RCA (Royal City Avenue) may open until 2 am

Yeah, not that I do it a lot, but it is my recollection that last call is at 2 am.

There were many places that stayed open late (early morning)... but the laws have changed recently. As far as a curfew, I know of none. People go out for "after hours" partying along the streets! There are vendors who set up along Sukhumvit after 1 am!!

They do not roll up the sidewalks at 1 in Bangkok.

there are a couple clubs tbat open all night they actually open at 2 am, but for a change I'll keep my mouth shut. but if you walk around the sukunvit area hmmm let say between soi 4 and 11 and you here music blasting from the upper levels of a bolding, you may have stumbled open an all night underground club. they can be really lame especially on weekdays.
