place to stay in ko samui
 

hello
we are going to ko samui in a couple of weeks and want to stay somewhere nice but without too many people. has anyone been to chaweng beach and could you recommend a resort?

First, if you don't want too many people---forget Chaweng Beach, its very crowded, especially the street that all the hotels are on. But, if you must stay there, Poppies probably fits the bill best(24 rooms), we just returned from there last week. Personally, if we go back again, we'd opt for the White House on Cheng Mon Beach, fantastic hotel on a beautiful, quiet beach that is less than 10 minutes from the action at Chaweng. Have a look at the hotels on chaweng noi beach[around the headland from main chaweng beach].We stayed there[at the imperial samui]in march.Very nice hotel,.
Excellant beach,great location,very quiet,yet only 5 mins in jeep to the main chaweng strip
