Phuket tip from JamesA

Although I did not visit myself close friends of ours just came back to Bangkok from Baan Mai on Koh Lone near Phuket. They also live here and have gone 'over the moon' about this place so thought I would pass on the tip. So many people are looking for a unique natural and remote beach place that is also not 'too far away' from let us say 'civilization'. The Baan Mai seems to hit that 10/10! They say the villa is simply amazing and highly recommend to everyone. It 'is' remote but at the same time transfer from Phuket Airport isn't bad, they only have a total of 8 rooms but it appears to be a 'gem' of a place.
If that is the type of place you are looking for here's a link, though not recommended if you have kids in tow as 'ultra quiet', seems great for a few days to truly get away from it all:-

It really does from what my friends said 'come up to the mark' on what a large number of people are looking for, again, for families not recommended but perhaps for people really just wanting to relax in the shade with a good book somewhere that is remote yet not difficult to get to it fits the bill nicely.

Thanks much for your post!! Seems to be "perfect" for what you describe if the website is true to the place itself.

Best wishes, Dave

JamesA -

This looks like a "winner" - and we can use winners' wherever we can find them. Thanks for the heads-up!

I would normally only mention where I'd been myself but our friends are 'close' and we know them well, so I trust their judgement. We are off to Pattaya are from Christmas staying at the 'Hard Rock' Hotel, which should be 'interesting'!
