Phuket:: pre-book tours?
We are going to be in Phuket for 5 nights/4 days the beginning of July. Since it is the rainy season (and also low season from what I gather) I thought we would wait until we got there to book any excursions. I know we want to do the June Bahtra cruise and possibly take a day trip out to Koh Phi Phi and maybe tour Phuket and surroundings. Do we need to book things prior to getting there or will we be fine booking once we see what the weather is likely to be the four days we are there? Having missed out on going to Uraguay when we were in Buenos Aires because we didn't book the ferry ahead of time (and it turned out to be a national holiday) I don't want to make the same mistake this time. Thanks.

Wait until you are in Phuket to book any tours you want. It will be much cheaper and you will get a chance to decide whether you really want to do any of these things (or other things). Some tours are weather-dependent, so you can also take that into consideration once you are there.

jen...i can't think you would need to pre book anything at this time of year...
i'm going there this afternoon...anything you want me to check out for you?? bob |
Hi Bob - Thanks so much for the offer. If you happen to see a brochure on the June Bahtra tours (specifically we are interested in one called the Magical Phang Nga Bay Cruise) you could grab one for us. Also any day trips out to Koh Phi Phi that look interesting. Especially if they involve snorkeling time.
See you in a couple of weeks! Enjoy Phuket and tell them to order some good weather from June 30 - July 5th :-P! |
We are in Phuket now. Leaving in 8 hours. Boo-Hoo, I don't want to go back to reality. The weather has been GREAT!!!! No need to pre-book tours.

Thanks so much for the good news! Try to leave some of the good weather there. We leave in less than 3 days! After months of planning I can't believe it's finally here.
