Phuket - Cool cocktail bars
 

Hi

I'm going to Phuket and staying in Patong. I'm keen to find a classy cocktail bar for our group. Criteria

1. One that mixes great cocktails
2. Beautiful sunset views.
3. Cool decor
4. Kick back, cool decor, lounge music
5. Patong, Karon, Kata or anywhere else that meets the criteria.
6. Not interested in girlie, gay bars etc.

There is a nice bar in front of the Merlin, another place called Margaritta Bar near McD, I doubt they have lounge style music, sunset probably ok as along the beach road, I'll have another think later, I was down here a couple of weeks back and down again, I've noticed you say a 'group', if you can elaborate on that a bit. Many of the best beach locations forther along the coast are taken up by resorts, I will have a think.

"Joe's Downstairs" near Baan Rim Pa Restaurant ( owned by them ) at North end of Patong, you can eat there too. Good view and music should be relaxed at Sunset / Sundowner time.
Just ask tuk tuk for 'Baan Rim Pa' and Joe's you will see there, better than asking for Joe's and tuk tuk driver not knowing, expect to pay about 150-200 for the tuk tuk now.
Patong believe me is 'packed' at the moment !
Where are you staying in Patong, we leave tomorrow but I've been around and about the last few days.
