Thanks for your nice comments. Glad to see you like our blog.
The camera we use is a Sony DSCV1. But we only use the manual feature to take photos. We thus choose for every photo the right level of speed and aperture.

Aw, so near yet so far.

I'm staying 1.5 hrs drive from Pangkor Laut, in the mainland Perak. The next time you feel like dropping by anywhere between KL and Penang, let me know ([email protected]). Maybe I can give suggestions on "must-sees" along your journey. There are so much more to see and do in Perak (hidden accolades not known by commercial tourism) - for example;

- Kuala Gula, the largest migrating birds' breeding ground in Msia (2 hrs from Georgetown). See birds from Russia and China.

- Matang Mangrove forest, where the rainforest and sea meet here. The bio-diversity is breathtaking (2 hrs from Georgetown).

- FMS Bar, the oldest beer joint in Msia; it's celebrating 100 year anniversary this year. (1.5 hrs from Gtown)

- Taiping, a town steeped in Straits Chinese tradition. There are more ornate houses like those you saw in Georgetown and Melaka. (1 hr from Gtown).

- go caving in the many limestone hill peppering Kinta valley.

- see tribal Orang Asli villages in Cameron Highlands. Thru mitocondria DNA findings, Orang Asli is said to be directly descended from first Africa homo erectus that left Africa 60,000 year ago.

Anyway, come again. And this time, go off-beaten-path.
