Try this, they have a lot of budget hotels, click on the links and then look up 'Phi Phi'
http://www.thailand-holidays.8k.com

We stayed at the PP Coral on Laem Tong Beach, which is on the northeast coast of Phi Phi, well away from Tonsai Bay and the port town.

A beachfront bungalow with hot water, air con, breakfast included, was about $50 for 2 people. We thought it was good value and have stayed there twice. I believe the bungalows that are not beachfront are a little cheaper.

They have a website at www.ppcoral.com

Hi Marilyn

Can you help create a great itinerary for 16 days in Thailand, I can afford hotel up to $100, I would like to visit bangkok, phuket, phi phi and angkor wat can you help

Sorry, bouzin2, but I have not (yet) traveled that extensively in Thailand to be able to recommend an itinerary. I know that most people visit Chiang Mai in the north, Sukothai and/or Ayutthaya, Bangkok, and Phuket/islands in the south. I'm pretty sure you could fill 16 days with those places.

Try searching on this board and you should find lots of info from Thailand experts.

If you are going to Angkor (which is Cambodia, not Thailand), you might skip Sukothai and Ayutthaya, as they are not as spectacular. Angkor is probably the most fantastic place I've ever been, and it is changing rapidly, so I highly recommend going.

In Bangkok, you can get plenty of good hotels for under $100. Again, a search here will turn up lots of options.

Someone posted recently that PP Coral was closed temporarily, but I don't know if it's true. You could check their website.

Hope this is helpful! If you have specific questions about Angkor you can email me directly at [email protected]
