pharmacy/chemists in Bangkok

Hello all,
We leave for our first ever trip to Thailand in one week. We have been in China for 6 months and we are running out of some essential items which are just not available where we are.
I will be looking for necessities like mosquito repellant with DEET; mosquito coils etc. as well as frivolous things like good quality hair care products and moisturizers without the dreaded "whitening" agents that are so prevalent here in China. How easy or difficult will these things be to find.
Can anyone recommend a good pharmacy/chemist that they know of.
Thanks for any help you can give.

you might also check in the larger grocry stores which are often in the basements of large retail buildings...there are many drug stores all around bkk...for better selection for western tastes look in the neighborhoods where foreigners live such as the sois off of sukhuimvit rd..
