Peninsula Bangkok 2 adults & 2 kids in 1 room
I have emailed the Pen regarding a reserv. for July. I received a response saying their rooms can only accomodate 3 people- 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child. I read that another poster had a similar response from the Pen, but Kim Japan had known people who stayed there with 2 children. Any suggestions on how to proceed? I would really like to stay there, but don't feel we need 2 separate rooms(the kids are small).

No, I definitely don't want to "sneek a kid in and out every day". Just wondered if someone was able to have 2 kids in the room, and how they got the reserv. If its not possible, we'll just stay at the Marriot Riverside two times, which the kids would be thrilled about.

The people who stayed with two kids in the room had very young ones, preschoolers.
I would call Peninsula reservations, the 800 number rather than the hotel to ask again. We had the hotel e-mail answer about an included dinner be totally different from the phone center answer...and the phone center answer was the answer that was the reality when we were there.
That said, I don't think 2 extra beds in a room would be something they really want to do. The size of the deluxe/grand deluxe rooms would be fine with an extra bed, but with two it would be crowded and be intrusive. The shape and decor of the rooms is not really 2 extra bed friendly.

Hi there,
We did stay there two years ago with our two school-age children, but I believe we needed to pay extra for either a suite or a deluxe room-at the time it was still a bargain!
KimJapan had a good suggestion to give them a call.
Good luck!

Traveling to BKK with two children last year the Penn told us the same thing, though I also heard from others that 2 children in a room was possible. We ultimately opted for the Shang Krungthep wing, where 2 kids were not a problem. We upgraded to a huge suite for a nominal cost when we arrived and the room and hotel was fantastic. Have fun. The kids will love BKK.
