Penang Hotels
 

We're going to Penang in May 2005 and would like to know of some good hotels.We've been looking at the Eastern & Oriental and the Sheraton.
Both of which look very nice - the E & O is our current favourite.

The E&O is wonderful! We did not stay there but several times we ate out on their terrace next to the water.

E&O -no question. It's terrific! We have stayed at the E&O as a family and loved it. My husband is staying there as we speak and his rate is only 400 ringit per night (walk in rate as he had planned to stay elsewhere) - not too bad at all. Have a great trip!

We are staying at the E & O for 4 nights in February and it's one of the reasons we are going to Penang. Can anyone recommend any " not to miss " restaurants in Georgetown or Penang ? Also, how good is the food at the E & O ?
