Penang Airport to City...
 

I'm just wondering how much I should expect to pay for a taxi between Penang Airport and the Shangri-la Golden Sands? Do taxis have metres or do you have to arrange a price before you get in!! Any help would be greatly appreciated... Stace.

From Penang Airport to Batu Ferringhi beach where your resort is should take about 35-40 minutes depending on time of day. I cannot recall the fare but it's cheap. Once you have collected your baggage you will see on the left side(I think ) the Taxi Counter, all the fares are on the board and the fare is fixed. You pay the counter and receive a ticket which you show to the guy at the taxi line and he shows you to your taxi, very simple, very organised. If you are going into georgetown from batu ferringhi taxis are reasonable, hotel counter taxis are more expensive, the air-con buses take longer but are dirt cheap and quite comfortable! Have a nice trip!
