Past, Present & Future Bhutan Fans: A Must Read
Radio Shangri-La
What I Learned in Bhutan, the Happiest Kingdom on Earth by Lisa Napoli 40-ish LA journalist moves to Bhutan to help start Bhutan's first youth-oriented radio station. Insightful account of Bhutan's rapidly changing culture. Available on Amazon and elsewhere... For what it's worth, I learned about it through a review in the Wall Street Journal. |
Thanks Craig. I just ordered it from Amazon!

Thanks! Just put it on my library hold list.

I just received a free copy of this book from "Read it Forward"! Glad to hear it is good. Have not yet read it.

Thanks, Craig. This future fan just requested it through inter-library loan. What a welcome recommendation. I have seen one film set in Bhutan -- Travellers and Magicians -- and read absolutely nothing, so this is an exciting find.
If anyone has read any other outstanding books about Asia recently, please share your recommendations (on a new thread, of course, without hijacking Craig's). Always looking for suggestions... |
