over night in kuala lumpur

Could use some advise here....Flying into Kuala Lumpur from SFO at 2:25 pm...with a flight the next morning at 7:30 to Kota kinabalu...I would love to go eat somewhere in bukit bintang area but dont know if its worth getting to and from the airport for that early flight...I will be arriving from San francisco so I will be a little jet lagged...is it worth the cost and time to go to the city?Any suggestions on airport hotels or places to eat in that area?..Thank for your help...

Get an airport hotel but if you have never been to KL go in for a nice meal and later drink at one of the skybars.

from my trip report. We enjoyed a local restaurant called "Binyan" in a Thai "house" not far from one of the skybars if I recall.

..."Both nights in KL we finished off our evening at some very nice rooftop bars to see the petronas lit up.

One bar was called Luna Bar at the Pan Global Building, where the Pacific Regency apts are. We sat upstairs outside, a real treat.

The other was at Traders Hotel (a very nice place!).

Do not miss the views from these places. Traders gives you a view of both Towers, but Luna Bar you only see one as you are aligned with the towers themselves. But both are worth a stop. ..."

the ride from the airport can be quite expensive and takes about 45 minutes as i remember without traffic...

the hyatt at the airport is very nice, with a fantastic indoor pool and good restaurants..

if you are flying air asia to your final destination, it goes from another airport about 20 min from the main K/L airport

There is a Hyatt at the airport now? I just looked and I don't see that there is a Hyatt, but the Pan Pacific at the airport is very nice, though overpriced, as all airport hotels seem to be.
